You were in a position financially to have a non off-roader weekend car what would you have?

I think i would be tempted by a dax rush or a rage buggy.

luckily my dad has all sorts of old crap lying around that i get to drive in the summer.

im usually in the mustang cos the 32 ford is lethal. leaf spring on the front, crap tyres, poor visibility, no power steering, no seatbelts and 425bhp.  ive only ever driven it 3 times and i try not to make a habit of it.

The mustang is good exept you feel like a right burk with the top down. pedestrians talk to ya when your sat in traffic as well.

I like cobra replicas but they always seem to be driven by men who smoke pipes. not a good look.

I had a TVR before I was married...

Would probably have another,  it was only the 4.0 V8 but went like stink   Had a good few fun track days at Goodwood.

I think now I would probably have another, just for the weekends

I drove an original AC Cobra once, Probably the quickest car I have ever driven, also had the heaviest clutch and steering ever. I remember driving it and the guy said Careful its worth over £500K…  Not sure if its true but I did slow down a touch!

A black Holden Monaro - the supercharged version. Add black alloys and you'd have a very stealthy car that could keep up with most Ferraris

Sorry But i hate to burst your bubble, whilst driving it was great and something to treasure, it was a nightmare, that clutch was so heavy and it was easy to kick out the back end on the corners, to be fair I loved it however I never want to drive another.

But that Shelby Block made souch a noise, It put the TVR to shame.

I would have most of the above,  American Muscle Cars are my ultimate dream, which is why my toy is a 3.5 Range Rover..., nothing, but nothing, can beat the roar of a V8.
Course, it's not a big-block Chevy or Ford, nor a GM Hemi.
My other wish car is a '56 Chevy Bel air.
My folks had a place in Kissimee, Florida, and I loved going to the Cruises, at the Old Town Fair.
My parents had a Puerto Rican neighbour, who built a customised Model T Ford, so he used to take me to local meets, and I thought I was in PETROLHEAD HEAVEN.

Ascari A10 8)
Supercharged Ariel Atom (Know of one for sale if anoyne has £16k kicking about)
Pontiac Firebird WS6 (not current gen, one before) setup properly for UK Fuel
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.
