back to my jimny cutting out fault

i think ive found what was wrong i went laning over this weekend and the jim cut out again and wouldnt restart
this time i had a bottle of water with me i poured it over the tdc sensor to the back of the rocker cover then tried it , and low and behold it fired stright up
has anyone else had this , could i repair it or is it a new one for me to buy
and how much are they??? :cry:

New one on me, but to eliminate it from the equation see if you can get hold of one and swap it. Let us know if it cures the problem.

I wouldn't have thought a TDC sensor would bankrupt you, but I have had a sililar instance of this problem (Hot TDC) sensor on another car, and a replacement did solve the issue....
