frontera steering problem any ideas ?

hi my mums lwb frontera. well she was going round the round about n the horn stuck on and sumthing clicked in the steering wheel weve disconnected the horn its still fine to drive but we dnt know what this is she hasnt taken it to the garage as she hasnt time with having 8 horses but has anybody got any ideas as to what this could be thanx cazzy

 There's probably a UJ on the steering column underneath the shroud, with the wires from the wheel running close. Check for rubbing/shorting.
