v8 on lpg
« on: January 08, 2008, 20:22:54 »
Hi All,

I have a new problem (just the one at the moment). My 2000 v8 4.0 disco 2 has what I believe to be a Bigas Multi point sequential LPG system fitted. Until recently it was running fine but has started to power off every time its asked to cut in. At idle all the gas lights are on and the amber light flashes indicating that it is on petrol but whenever the throttle is opened to the point where it would normally switch to gas all the lights go out for a few seconds and when they come back on the whole sequence starts again. The only thing that I notice that is different is that there used to be the sound of what I reckoned was a relay switching in when it went to gas but that click is no longer audible. Has anyone had similar problems or does anyone know anything about this kind of installation. Here's hoping.

Regards Remmy7

PS - Its running like a peach on the expensive stuff.
