IIRC it's about 108.  It may be slightly higher.

I've heard of police ones doing over 120 but they typically had the engines worked on.

been a few years since i had a classic, but i think if you wanted too, not that i would, it would sit  on the motorways at about 110, i would imagine you could actually see the fuel guage drop aswell.
of course 70mph is the limmit so you need not know how fast it can go.

it would sit  on the motorways at about 110,

At that speed it would be stopping at every service station.

YES, BEEN A WHILE remember these were new vehicles so running at there best, back in the mid 90's, i only ever got 8 or 9 to the gallon out of my range rovers, but they were driven hard, i was a very hard working 20 odd  year old with a very heavy right foot, after sying that the missus a town driver only ever got around 12 out of hers, makes me laugh when i hear all these people say they get 20 / 25 mpg, ive heard it loads and tried to do it loads and never got anywere near.
ps. not saying you int, just i can never get it! before it all kicks off.

I know a lad who got 20 odd out of a 3.5 on a long run to Newquay, but I've never personally experienced that kind of frugality with the 3.9.  The LSE should come with shares in BP :(
