V8 to deisel

anyone ever switch a 5spd  v8 to a tdi ?  In the states ll we get is the v8  and all we want are the diesels.  what would i need to change? bell-housing ?

engine and mounts,  front wiring loom (and if you want to do it correctly - clocks and fuel tank and pump)..may also need the TDi's front shockers and springs as I cant remember the weight differences between the V8 and the Tdi....

And the gearbox entirely, the radiator/intercooler and hoses, the airconn pump IIRC (what year is your car?).

it is a 96. if the gear box will not work then i will drop this idea
