Thanks to Burgerman
« on: January 26, 2008, 19:25:24 »
For your help today. I now have a working Disco again!

Runs better than I have ever heard it too, just done a 4 mile lap and its all quite happy.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

In all fairness you did a lot more than that, just was interesting the way we were both working on the same bits without getting in the way. Should setup a garage ;)

As for the sound, yes, I'm amazed at that, it shouldnt have made that much of a diference but Ali spotted it too I can only think that the clearances must have been way out and maybe the old belt had stretched putting the timing just off.

Alternator bearings are noisy but I think I have a brand new one available. Just need to sort that bloody exhaust out on the zook now.

You were asked about tea, and the cook wasnt here :)

Man I'm gonna pay for that remark.
