Contemplating the floodwater....

..saw this wee fella at Little Lawford ford today. The water was a bit muddy for fishing!





Couldn't have got him to sit in a better place though!

Funny you should post that today as i was driving though a village today and in a big tree saw a pair of red kites sitting there turely fantastic birds just like your kingfisher.You were lucky to get that shot as the kingfisher can be a shy bird,very good photos there mate.

There's a nature conservation project that's been running for quite a few years to reintroduce the redkite back into wales I believe it's based somewhere in mid wales. So they've probabbly come from there originally

Great picture, Kind of shame the signs says Ford as photo's take of Kingfishers above a sign which no fishing are worth a bit especially if the Kingfisher has a fish in it's beak. Most keep my eyes open next time I'm over Little Lawford spent a lot of time at Brandon Marsh trying to see 1.

There's a Red Kite reserve in the Chilterns which is why you'd see them around the M40
