Old Music CD's
« on: March 22, 2008, 19:57:43 »
Im in the middle of having a massive clear out before we move..

Ive got a bin bag FULL of old CD's.

What the hell am i going to do with them?

Im loath to take them to the tip as they will only end up buried somewhere at a landfill.

Any ideas?

Will your local charity shop take them? Ours occasionally have tapes and records in the window so there's a good chance they will.

there are some independent shops that will buy it off you i think

or you could go to your local car boot and put them out there...

thing is with ebay if you list what you have some people might want 80% of the booty but not all and start haggling.... be wary cos this might be time consuming and ultimately a waste of time

so like we've pointed out you have options, some have no labour required some have quite a bit, but it depends if you want to make money on them or just get rid

The other possibility is to list them on Amazon Marketplace. You would have to go through and catalogue the whole bag though, and you might have trouble shifting some of them. Plus packing and posting a hundred or so individual CDs to different buyers would drive most of us crackers within a day!

If there is any Metallica, Iron Maiden , Bon Jovi, AC/DC or 80's electro then give me a PM ;)
(yes I know the 80's electro is sad - but I like cheese - )
If you can be bothered - do a complete list and see if anyone else wants any ;)

List em on here, the rest to a charity shop!  ;)

It has been said that, given enough time, a million monkeys bashing at a million typewriters would eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare. Thanks to the Saxo forums, we now know this to be wrong
