Sat Nav woes...
« on: March 22, 2008, 20:23:31 »
Well I'm looking at getting some new maps for my sat nav, I have a Tomtom Go, its one of the original ones now known as a Go Classic.

I want a map that covers UK, and Europe inc Czech, Slovakia and Hungary, but what a nightmare, I have to but 2 cards and its going to cost me the best part of £100  Plus you have to keep changing the cards over.

Thinking I might as well get a new satnav with it all installed.

Any recommendations???

can you decide which country goes on which map?

ie put western europe on one and eastern on the other..

if not then do you really need a map to get from a port to your abode?!

if you want an alternative Garmin do a nifty range... not cheap though

Can you get one bigger card and copy the contents of the two smaller ones to it? I've seen 8GB memory cards of various types.
