Hi all,
I'm curious to see if I can drop my insurance.
Who's a good company to go with and who should I avoid?

Different insurers have different preferences (young, old, garaged, not garaged etc) so it really is a case of shopping around!

I tried moving to Lancaster this year becasue A-F were so crappy at settling my sister's claim. Well after ringing me 5 times to day trying to get their heads around the concept of fitting a bigger crank to a V8 engine it seems they can't beat my existing quote and they don't insure you for green lanes
unless you pay more
.
Now forgive me if I'm wrong but green lanes are public roads, I can drive the in my Micra, so what does the extra premium cover if it's not for pay 'n' play?

Any company saying they want more for greenlane cover need to be informed that you don't need "extra" cover. as you say, they are roads that anyone can drive, so tell them to Pee off!

i was with liverpool victoria but changed to Adrian Flux when i had the V8 so both mine were on the same insurer, you do have to watch though as they will automatically renew if you dont contact them we got them to lower the premium this year as someone else could beat them but had to send them the quote to prove it
