Right. I have now picked up my new toy, a 1972 88" Series 2a truck cab. It's not currently running, and it does need a little bit of work, but it's mine and it has potential.
The long term view is that I'm going to get it back up and running (I'm waiting for the injectors to arrive to bring the Daihatsu 2.8 diesel engine back to life), put a tilt on it and then use it mainly for playing in. Up front there are a few questions that I have that may help in the direction I go. The first of these are:
1) Being 6' 6" tall it is a bit tight in the cab. Once the truck cab is removed I can get rid of the bulkhead that sits behind the seat boxes. Has anybody extended the seat boxes backwards, or lowered them, in order to gain a little bit more room in the cab. If so, what's the best way to achieve it?
2) As I want to play in it, I'm looking at getting some sort of protection from rolling (as there would be none with just a tilt on). As I want to retain the ability to have a tilt on or off a 'proper' cage may be out of the question (or not, I wait to be corrected), does anyone have any views on the Bearmach alternative (

Thanks for any help.
