Anyone know anything about Ipods?

I've got one of the 8gig 3rd generation nano's.
When i upload a compilation album onto it , the ipod sorts the tracks into alphbetical order of the artists rather than into track order - even though the album is in track order on itunes.

Anyone know how to sort it so that compilations are in track order??

I create everything as a playlist
Then drop each album into its own playlist
i.e I'll name them like 'Foo Fighters - In Your Honour' open it then drop the album into there.
Then make another, then another and so on
I've got over 300 playlists in iTunes
When it comes to synching the iPod with your computer it only show's playlists
Then you can select them and everything will be fine

sadly the way to sort by track order is to edit each track (knowing which order they are in) and type in the track number in the relevant field

if you create a playlist, how its sorted on itunes is how it will play on the ipod

so i just drag and drop as i fancy on the playlist and the order is changed
