Just months after selling his life story for around £1 million, Lewis Hamilton’s literary career appears to be on the skids, with the revelation that his autobiography has suffered the ignominy of ending up in the discount book bin with a price tag of just 99p.Home Bargains, a UK discount store, apparently has 50,000 copies they are keen to shift.The news has prompted several other would-be writers in the paddock to consider postponing the release of their own works.Already planned for issue this summer were tomes including The Art of Teamwork by Fernando Alonso, Beauty Tips by Robert Kubica and An Appreciation of the Marquis de Sade by an as yet unnamed author.
