Which oil?
« on: April 13, 2008, 14:53:03 »
Hi Guys,

Do the diffs, gearbox and transfer box on my 300 defender take the same type of oil?  is it EP90?

I forgot to check at work and if I'm quick I can get some oil in time before Motosave shuts tonight

EP90 in the axles, swivels & transfer-box, ATF in the gearbox.

ATF in the gearbox like said, its an odd concept when you first do it but Auto-transmission Fluid is supposed to be in there, goes in the power steering system too!

I put Difflock's Evolution 1 fully synthetic oil in my main gearbox & it's made a fantastic difference. It's now much smoother, especially when cold.
