Which HT Leads to got for LPG
«

I'm fitting LPG onto my P38 Rover V8 4.6 and realise I probably need to upgrade the HT leads from the OEM ones on there.
My friend has Magnecor 8mm, but after a few years they are starting to erode. I've done some browsing around the web and come across some other manufactorres like:
KERR NELSON
lumination
Should I get Magnecor's or one of the above or other? What radios of wire should I be looking at? Is there a negative for going too large e.g. 10mm? The engine as far as I know is stock, except the LPG.
Thanks
Gareth

I've not heard of Magnecore breaking dwon, that's bad.
Go for a set of OEM ones, if yours are ok then they will do the job, don't go swapping just for the sake of it unless you are having a problem. Close your plug gaps up to 27 thou first.

Check with Magnecore - I thought they had a lifetime warranty. They're widely regarded to be the HT leads of choice for LPG, and they should be bombproof. I think there's a reasonable chance you'll get a new set of leads if you contact them. That's assuming they ARE Magnecore, and not blue leads from another manufacturer!
IIRC I was recommended 10mm.

I would go for Magnecor rather than OEM. The Oem's on my P38 lasted just over a year before starting to breakdown. Mag's should have a lifetime warranty so give them a call. Magnacor's were recommended by RPi when I phoned them a couple of days ago.

I fitted Magnecore onto Blue. TBH though, I couldn't justify the cost and didn'tbother with the LSE.
