Forget appeals for world disasters, animal welfare, human rights – let’s help one of our own for a change!

Please read the following, I don’t need to say any more:-

Couldn't agree more. Actually you beat me to it as I was just having a rant on another forum and posted this ...

Fair enough, an auction for the Lincs Air Ambulance is Gresh's way of thanking the helicopter crew for their great work (nobody could deny him that), but what I want to know is why are the Air Ambulances still run on a charity basis given that these days they are an integral part of the emergency services? It's the 21st century for Gawd's sake, they should be funded by central government, not by donation!! It’s disgusting.

Great minds?

Just to let you all know, in just an hour via 91 separate lots the Greshlets Charity Action at the LRO Spring Adventure Show in Driffield, East Yorkshire raised over £5,000 + a splendid donation of £1,500 by the committee of LRO Editor John Pearson’s local village. FAIR PLAY!!!

That’s more than £6,500 going to Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance!

On behalf of Gresh and family … thank you one and all.

I'll second this, I have seen them perform miracles at not only the Tattershall bridge RTA but also many others.

Its about time the government put it hand in its pocket and started funding some of these things insted of wasting money on leaflets about to be diverse. which is what the NHS probably suffers from as much as the police service.

I agree with you guys, whilst at work today there was an accident and i was there as part of the medical cover for the event,we had to call in the NHS who called for Yorkshire helimed to attend and evac the teenager to hospital.
