Rear seats in a 90
« on: April 17, 2008, 18:51:46 »
Hi people can you please help I need to know if the rear seats are legal and are safe to use, I need to be able to put in kids seats so I think i am looking at the forward facing seats that fold down is there any other options I could use, Is there a 90 that comes with the forward facing rear seats or is it an after market part.
Thanks,

I fitted a pair of forward facing fold-up seats from Exmoor Trim, they are brilliant for kids and much safer than the side on type but not really suitable for booster or baby seats as the sides of the bases are open and the seats can slip around.

If you want to use booster/baby seats you need the lock-and-fold version that are double the price!!

The new model Defender has forward facing rears as standard, only other option is middle row in a 110  :D

Inward facing seats can only be usde by over 12's due to them only having lap belts. Can't remember what the height bit is, but forward facing would be a lot safer.

Have seen these on a few american sites, it's a  Master Craft 36"rear bench seat.
