RRC Wiper problem
« on: April 28, 2008, 19:23:56 »
Hello all,

I can't find my post I made about my wipers going nuts so I'll make a new post,
maybe it was removed for some reason although not really sure why!

The problem was that the intermittent was very intermittent,
the wipers were generally a bit slow and after a dry spell they took bit of work to free them.

I've now got the scuttle board off and found that the reason for the problem is one of the drive shafts is seized.
The motor was fighting against the seized part.
I'm not able to free it as I can't strip it down any further so I'll have to make a trip to the scrap yard soon.

If anyone has a similar problem it might be worth checking the shafts before forking out for a new mortor.
Cheers,
Ronnie Wood, LLROC
