tank guard slight problem
« on: May 04, 2008, 21:54:20 »
just got a hd tank for a 130 quid . i order it without a towbar mount ( thinking it was for a disco without towbar already) just found my towbar fitted at the moment wont fit with the tank gaurd in place .

another reason i didnt order a towbar mount it didnt look major strong. im not interested in a major rear departure angel . it stops the end caps and rear quatre from being bent ( so far ) with the towbar on.

its gonna basically be used a hd heat sheild for the split on the new rear section of the exhuast after some scrap wagon left a 3inch solid iron bar in the road i didnt see it and smacked the underneath of the tank and exhuast pipe 2.

is there a kinda way to use a wizard type tank gaurd towbar on there ( thinking now it may well have been worth paying the extra 150 quid to start with)

I agree, Spences one is great! I have the tank guard and the drop plate, and I've just ordered the recovery point for it as well.
