A34 help .
« on: May 07, 2008, 17:58:11 »
not been on the roads for a bit due to a stay in Hospital, and we have a wedding in Basingstoke this Saturday (travelling down Friday - returning Sunday) my question is , are there any road works between the M4 and Basingstoke..I know it can be a P.I.T.A. at the best of times let alone on Friday tea time!

Persuming you are travelling through newberry and on the A339 to basingstoke ???  If so newberry gets a tad snottty in rush hour but is more than manageble,  apart from that should be a breeze  :) there is a cracking ford and some little lanes you will drive right past on ya way here

   where is the wedding ??

I know that hotel I think.

I know Bstokevery well. Lived there for 22 years. Admitedly alot of that was when I was in nappies!! I do feel sorry for you though having to go there for the weekend. Hope you like roundabouts with traffic lights on. Make sure you pop in on The ford at Eversley before you go back. a very good ford.
