List Of Regional Reps
« on: May 20, 2008, 09:02:07 »
Is it possible to have a section which lists the Regional Reps
so that outsiders or people wishing to visit areas they aren't as familiar
with can see who they can contact for local advice etc ??

And, if it's possible, would members want such a section  :-k

Or have we already got one and I just haven't found it

Good point! There used to be a list on the old forum.

The only way I can now find it is by sorting the member list on 'position'... like this.....
http://www.mud-club.com/forum/index.php?action=mlist;sort=ID_GROUP;start=0;desc

And 'cos it's in reverse order it puts yours truly at the top

What it doesn't do is tell you what region we are rep for without opening each profile.

Yes good point old girl   :-.
A list of rep's and the areas they cover would good.
More importantly it would help if members added their area/town to their profiles.

I also think it would be better to put the nearest big town rather than county as some counties are huge ;)

We also think its a good idea to have a Regional Reps list so with that in mind I'll be collating one over the next few days, if any of the Reps have views on this please let me know by PM, I'll sort things out ASAP.

I would also appreciate all Regional Reps PM'ing me with their location and the area in which they operate and with any contact details they wish to have displayed to the membership in the listing, i.e. mobile number and times of availability.

Well, so far out of the 20 or so Regional Reps I've only had a response from 6 people.

Please let me know whether the remainder of you want to carry on with this important task or not so that I can compile an accurate list to present to the members, you don't have to supply any delicate information like phone numbers if you so desire, just whatever you feel is useful to other members who might wish to contact you for information about your expertise in your area.

Alternatively, do any members wish to be considered for the role of Regional Rep in their area or would anyone like to suggest someone who might like to do so.

Come on guys, lets pull together here for the benefit of all.

If you have any questions or concerns you can either PM me or call me on 07973 815579.

Frank iv already emailed you, a fair while back as to what criteria is needed for a regional rep, and recieved no reply

My reason for doing this is there is alot of us not wanting to travel miles for a beer and we want to go off roading too up a few lanes and official routes that local farmers have granted us access to.

Also when i attended the Northampton meet no one introduced themselves to me or my partner and only 2 people bothered to speak to us.

It's basically acting as a  point of reference for others in or visiting the area. In reality, it often involves organising stuff or booking event dates too.
