Engine change
« on: May 24, 2008, 13:56:52 »
I have a early 90 with a good Disco 200 engine in it, but the chassis has had it, to the point I don't think it is safe to drive :'(

I  have a 300 Galv chassis and a 300 engine for it. The 300 engine is in bits and needs some money investing in it.

Can I fit the 200 some how with out altering the chassis for now? I have read this

http://www.mud-club.com/forum/index.php/topic,59819.0.html

But it doesn't really help with a 90

Any Idea's?

stud patterns are definatly different, but you can put the 300 back plate on the 200 and change the rear crank oil seal for the 300 one. engine mounts: get hold of the 300 engine brackets and mount them to the 200 block. 200s and 300s use the same block and both have the same provisions for the mounts
