Chequer plate vinyl graphic?
« on: May 31, 2008, 18:46:12 »
Id like to Chequer Plate beneath the black rubbing/protection strip along the sides of my 300 D1 but with vinyl graphic that looks like Cheque Plate rather than rivetting the ally type, so, anyone know where I can get some?
Cheers

You can have a look in the local DIY or Carpet shop. I have seen it used for flooring.

I do tend to agree, why would you want to.... Use the real thing!

I agree, but I'll help you out anyway - B&Q do it in mahoosive rolls for kitchen floors, which by the way is an infinately cooler way of using it than putting it on your truck.

For the cost and messing about, why not just use the real thing?  My disco is an XS model and its got the 'bubbles' type vynl graphics and it's staring to peel of now and looks hideous - as yours will very quickly as you wont be able to get it any where near as clean before you apply it as LR had mine on the production line................
Son, life has a habit of kicking you in the ass and i only have vague recollections of when it wasn't kickin mine!

when i started reading the thread i assumed you meant vinyl as in stickers which you clearly do and to be honest i dont think it would look that bad as some sign writers have programs with vehicle dimensions and can cut them to the exact size and fit them perfectly.

what ever were you lot thinking i mean who puts lino on their cars lmao

Try amari plastics and vinyl corporation.  They are my usual places to look, try an internet search for these as I know they both have sites  ;)
