« on: June 03, 2008, 02:41:44 »
Can i fit a safari snorkel of a 200tdi disco to a 300tdi disco with ABS? What problem will i have or shall i just buy a new one?

Thanks

You may have a problem depending on how far along the wing the snorkel comes. I think someone else had a similar problem a while ago in that the 200 (and 300 non-ABS) snorkels were shorter and therefore came through the wing more or less in line with the ABS gear.

The airbox is also a potential problem, but a mate fixed that by simply grafting a 200TDI airbox onto his 300TDI. The ABS location is more difficult to fix and TBH I'd buy the proper part rather than messing around, unless the 200TDI snorkel is incredibly cheap.

Have a look at the link below as it shows exploded drawings of the Safari Snorkel range.

I've just reserved mine and collect it on Saturday - Birthday present from SHMBO...!!!

Got a Mantec on my 300 disco in my opinon its the better one to got for as there is no plastic sticking out the side to get ripped off or split if you catch it aginst something  :)
