Bumper Bolts
« on: June 13, 2008, 09:43:48 »
Are the bumpers held on to a 200tdi by m12 or m10 bolts?  You see I have a 300tdi Bumper but can only get m10's in but they are to short for me to fit my steering guard, will the holes in the chassis take m12? :)

If it is a 200Tdi then no, M10 is the largest that will fit the front two bolt holes on the chassis, but the third hole behind the front two (larger and under body mount) will fit an M12 or larger.

IF the disco is like the RRC in this area then in the past I have filed out the slots in the bumper brackets to take an M12 for use with jate rings. The holes in the RRC chassis are something like 14mm diameter, plenty of clearance for M12 bolts.

Thanks , for the info, I have gone for the m10 for now, this is mainly due to the holes in the bumper, not the chassis, when i get chance an somebody to hold the  bumper whilst i bolt it back on I'll swap for the m12,  :D
