fuel tank/gauge problems.
« on: July 09, 2008, 20:06:36 »
i think there is something wrong with the calibration on my fuel sensors.
i can physically fill my tank up to the brim, but it only reads just under 3/4 full on the fuel gauge.
as far as i know its a standard fuel tank.
at the moment its costing me 40 quid to fill the land rover from when its nearly registering empty on the gauge, till its physically full to the brim. this doesnt seem right, as its less then 35 litres, and the tank SHOULD be mroe like 45.
can anyone help me with this problem.

cheers

my 96 300tdi is exactly the same.

It never goes about 3/4 even though its coming out of the cap!
