Maxxis mudzilla tyres

after an exploding 33" grizzly claw that i cant find a replacement for im starting to look for a pair of tyres the same diameter to fit to the rear of my landy, until the fronts have worn out then i will replace with the same obviously.

Might look a bit of with different tyres but we shall see.

So im having trouble finding a really agressive 33" tyre,

The options so far are these...

or simex jungle trekkers, which only go to 11.50 wide, and going narrower seems like a step backwards to me somehow.


So my question really is does anyone run the mudzillas? As well as the gay name they look like they dont really have any big lugs on the side to cope with sticky mud. Oh and ideally I would like them to go on my current 8" rims, which i think they might do just. 12.50's are a comfortable fit.

Don't run anything as exotic as you are after but I couldn't help noticing the Maxxis Creepy Crawler, from the same guy, looks to be more agressive and have better side lugs.

Thought about them?

If they are as good as my buckshot mudder's then they will be blinding. Mine are almost devine in thier ability to keep going forward. Only once stopped them and that was with it up to the head lights in soft goo!

any more info on the buckshot mudders?? i fancy some of they when my grizzlys go south of life.

Mine are 31 10.5 15.

Whilst the side lugs are nowt to look at they are highly effective for lifting out of rut's.

As for slimy mud that poses no problems as they are good at digging too.

Another thing is that they have tread gaps equal to 33 inch Bfg mt's which helps no end.

Also they handle rocks well without ripping or nicking.

Mine have about 6k miles on and are showing no noticeable wear.

On road they grip well and are quiet.
 
All told they are a top buy and only cost 240 quid.

seen the buckshot but it just seems like the usual sort of MT type thing,

oh and the creepy crawlers start at 35" which is too big for me really.
