Roof rack - disco models
« on: July 16, 2008, 13:03:36 »
Hiya

Anyone know if the roof panels are the same on different generation discos?
After a roof rack, and was looking at picking one up on ebay if I see a low enough price.  Some dont specify which model they are for, and one guy said the roof panel is the same on each, implying roof racks just fit all.  I have a disco1 200.

Cheers, Paul

AFAIK the 200 and 300 series Disco 1s have the same bodyshell, so it should fit.

Hello chap, the disco 2 is longer at the back, so the rack may over hang if you get one from one of those.

I have a disco 2 safety devices rack on my 300 and IMHO I think it suits the car better than the 300 version does  :-k

I have a cradle type full length roofrack for sale, in good condition and has holes drilled front and rear for four forward facing lights and two rear work lights. Also have a large sheet of plywood which has been cut to size for the bottom of the rack.

PM me for any pictures mate.
