Diesel Additives

Off on a 700 mile round trip to darkest Wales next week.
It will be the furthest the Landie will have been for 18 months.
Is it worth putting any diesel additive in the tank before we go to clean the system through, or will I be wasting my money?

Drove to france, 1000 mile round trip recently, before i left UK i put 2 cans of wynns additive in the tank then filled up with diesel, i am sure the long run and maybe the additive helped.

Its only worth it for MOT time if you're worried about emissions. Otherwise don't bother IMHO.
Incidentally, where is Wales are you heading?

for a long journey I'd be more tempted to put veg in :D
shame I'm going to north yorkshire next week or we could have met up ( I live not to far from Abersoch)
Try llanbedrog beach (near abersoch ) it's quieter and nicer than the others...

im with disco stu here i use millers deisel + additive on a regulare bassis and the difference is good to very good clean injectors run better than crappy ones and millers has a bhp boost in it somehow adding about 10 bhp after use and as i run on 50% vegie it also helps here good stuff been using millers in cars and 4x4 for about 10 yrs now
