Easier and simpler, (although not cheap) to get hold of Southdown, and get them to send you the correct drop plate for the gaurd.....
gone from 200tdi.... to 300tdi... still with loads done to it, in fact, even more than the last truck...LOL!!!

I presume you mean the brackets on the chassis almost under the fuel tank? I might be able to help you there. How badly are they rusted / broken?

Unfortunately not, will be back in September but for the moment I am in Reading. A friend of mine had the same problem and I managed to make two brackets up out of angle iron for him.

If you want me to make you two brackets up mate, pop up to reading with a few sizes of angle iron (they need to be three consecutive sizes which fit insideone another) and I will weld them up for you.

JD  many thanks but have sorted it, nearly, tank guard fitted just need to get welded 2 bits of circular pipe between drop down 'D' on chassis.

Well finally getting there, removed ARB had to drill off nut for drop link arm to axle, gonna replace drop links & bushes, just waiting for new rear shocks and springs to arrive.  8-[

Sweet.  I like the Southdown for several reasons.

Firslty it's heavy enough to withstand an accident all by itself, which is handy.  When someone does tail-end you they'll slide right underneath
It'll make your fuel tank more secure from theiving scum.
It's very flexible (has lots of uses, rather than bendy).
It's quite discrete.

You're not kidding! It was heavy enough lifting it into the boot. I would hate to lift/fit it!
