what tyres will fit
« on: August 30, 2008, 18:37:02 »
Will 255/85/R16 BFG Mud terrains fit onto my otherwise standard Wolf 90 (with Wolf Rims). If not, what is the biggest I can get on there. Cheers

I would think that the 255/85 will fit fine. i ran my defender on 33x12.5x15 at standard ride height, obviously it would depend on what you want from your new tyres. I spoke to silverline before i bought mine and they gave me lots of choice and advise. hope i have been a little help.

According to BFG, the widest tyre for a Wolf rim (6.5") was the 235/85.

If memory serves you'll need a 7.5" rim for the 255s.

When I was wondering about fitting the 255s to mine I would have gone for the original Modulars - cheap and relatively robust (with that bit more offset than the standard wheel too).

In the end though I decided that most of my friends were too short to get into the car with them tyres on, so I'll be sticking to the 235/85 for the time being.
