Another Iceland thread. I'm planning a school trip there in 2010. Awaiting approval from the County, and if so, we should be on for it.
We'll need about 7 vehicles, and I have a reasonable idea who I'm going to borrow them from, but then I thought... I've just read an ad for a 300tdi Disco for 2 grand in what looks like fine condition, so it did cross my mind it may actually work out cost-effective to BUY a couple of Discos for the trip!
The kids will be paying somewhere north of 2 grand for the trip (5 weeks), and I'm offering free places for any kids who come with their own vehicle, so it actually makes sense for the parents to buy a Disco, get a free place, and they even have a Disco when their kid returns.
And in 2010 they'll be cheaper still. Hmmm...
