popping sound on unleaded when changeing gear

ever since ive fitted my straight through pipe a popping sound happens when u change gear on unleaded more so than lpg .

seeing this bother me dont think mines flames

cause i park by a plastic wind break at work any ideas or just normal

Pinking is my guess dave. Its been a while since I worked on petrols but as you lift off and the engine goes into the overrun cycle, pinking (caused by pre-ignition) can occour. It's usually a sign that the ignition timing has been advanced too much, try retarding it a bit and see what happens.

Probably just unburned fuel in the exhaust, you notice far more now because the exhaust isn't catching any of it.

Like a rally car ;)

I'd say it's just unburnt fuel from the over run poping in the exhaust , we used to get some good flames from vance and hince performance pipes on the bikes looks cool at night :cool:
