 It was ok in my 1985 ex-mod 110. Used with a diesel landrover gearbox used - no problems - clutch control fine. Ran sweet as.... The previous owner Tim put it in on with it's own mounts and exhaust downpipes and left the old landrover mounts in 'just in case'.....then 'just in case' happened, many thousands of miles later when it finally cracked piston number one last week
Apparently that happens sometimes late in life. I've just got a 2.5 landrover engine, as I couldn't find another Nissan, they're rare as rocking horse on the market...I would definately have another one - the extra 300cc is essential for that tractor overtaking! It was great off-road, steady and reliable on road. 65mph comfortable. And it was a lovely engine. It will be up for sale next week once it is removed, as a whole or in bits. Best offer gets it. It needs the pistons out and sorting, and a head skim. Nice engine, if you can find one.
