When I did my engine change the immobiliser decided to kick in and that also took out the glow plugs too.
I have now wired a switch up from battery-fuse-switch-stop solonoid-battery to start and stop the disco.
2 questions.
1. How easy and expensive is it to reset the imobiliser before I start hacking things.
2. Where is the glow plug relay? Is it the black box mounted on the back of the fuse bit by the rad water tank? Could I run this in with the switch I use for turning on and off the engine? Would it be as simple as battery-fuse-glowplug relay-stop solonoid- - side of glow plug-battery ? Or would it be stop solonoid direct back to battery?
My disco is really starting to struggle now the days are getting colder and I have had enough of plumes of white smoke after I start it from unburnt diesel. I dont even like to think how much money is going into the air from un burnt juice.
