You may hear a lot more about these in the news and in time it's quite likely we will see them in the countryside.
There is a move amongst councils and consultants to combine bridleways, cycle tracks and footpaths into a 'multi user path' that is safe for all non-motorised users with a view to maintaining a network that gives best value.
There are no plans to include vehicles and the information I have seen in no way suggests this will impact us at all although if apparently safer routes are available we may see less other traffic using BOATs.
We cannot drive them and they should not affect the network we can presently drive.
This is up for discussion at Local Access Forum Level in January and I will keep you all informed of developments.
