snorkel fitting nightmare

my 300 tdi air box arrived today . thinking it would be an easy fit  :roll: well it inst  :doh:

where the lpg electronic thing joins b4 the vapouriser is right in the way  :-k

my first idea was to use this new snorkel thing with the filter in there . useing flexi pipe from the afm to the snorkel inlet pipe in the wing

im now  :| :? which method to use

It maybe doesn't help that you've got a 300 series filter box in a 200 series vehicle.
In the 300's that filter box fits on top of the inner wing with the inlet pointing forwards.
The snorkle you have looks to be one for a disco without ABS, meaning that the inlet enters the engine bay just in front of the washer bottle. If this is the case then you have a part of the snorkle missing that will let you connect the two together.

On mine, the normal inlet is blocked off and you have to cut a hole in filter box on the engine side of it. The part you have missing is then bolted over the hole and sealed, the other end then plugs into the snorkle in the inner wing.

on a 3.5v8i the standard air cleaner is the threaded bolt holding the air filter is thread all the way down to the base by the afm.

im thinking of using a 200 series air cleaner box instead that way it will fit without moving lpg pipes around a fair bit
