I`m so proud !

My partner ran 10k today on behalf of Cancer Research !!!
He came 26th out of 600 people in a time of 39 mins.
Now I`m proud of him not because he came 26th but the fact he took part.
Hell I`m sure alot of us would struggle to walk 10k never mind running it  :lol:
He has also raised over £200  :clap: :clap:
Yes we all moan when people ask for sponsership money but just think carefully before you say NO.
Times are hard with the credit crunch etc etc  :'( but we all must know somebody who has Cancer or have lost a loved one through Cancer.

Finally well done to all of those 600 runners today who must have raised thousands  :clap: :clap:

 I am that partner and while I am grateful I dont feel it is deserved.

 The real heroes who deserve the kind words and thoughts are those people who fight and battle with the effects cancer can have, they are the true brave people. So hats off to those heroes.
 
 I just did what I enjoy doing so no kind words please. Rather than thank me just give a quid or two to something you feel strongly about or is close to your heart.

nice thread guys, my mum has cancer and doing well, . and yes you do deserve a well done and we always give to such charitys. i wish i could do what you have done . nice one well done ..alan

Im one of them people fighting cancer and have been for the past two years and without people like your self i know i wouldn't be here today as i ive been having treatment which is very new and without people doing as you say "what I enjoy doing" then this treatment wouldnt be possible.

so yes you do desever a well done in my book.  :clap:
