help with parts transfer box seal and handbrake

my car failed its mot :( handbrake does not pass - from looking at it looks like the rear transfer box needs a new rear oil seal and also a pair of handbrake pads - its a 1998 TDi300 , ive got to order some stuf from http://www.paddockspares.com but they have so many choices of handbrake stuf  i dont know what i need !also cant see any transfer box (rear )oil seals...

were is the bets place to get that if they dont sell it - also what bits do i need ? is it a hard job to do ?

Well spoke to landrover there is an inner and outer seal £21.70 for both sound about right ??

also is there a guide to the handbrake pads somewere ??

You generally only need to replace the outer seal (not sure what they mean about an inner one to be honest)

Do they still have the daft rubber backed felt thing at the base of the splines in the output flange like on series kit?  Its that long since mine was in bits I cant remember.......

Tom. If your's is a manual, for that age you'll be wanting the 'vertical' fitting shoes and NOT the 'horizontal' fitting ones.  Thats the only 2 types I can recall there being a choice of?.............

Yes, there's a felt washer under the output flange washer to prevent oil seeping up the splines.
Output shaft oil seal is P/No FRC7043
There are two washers behind the flange nut, but EPC doesn't specify which one is the felt washer.
P/No's are 571468 and FRC2464. I think the latter is the felt seal.
