110 Transmission Guards
« on: October 26, 2008, 18:39:02 »
Hi all,

I'm struggling to find a transmission guard for my 110. Does anyone knows who supplies them? The only ones I can find are for 90's.

Thanks!

dont see that the transmission on a defender needs guarding as its positoned out of trouble anyway.

essentially a slab of galvanised steel to go under the transmission. I seem to remember my mates 110 camel trophy had one bolted to the chassis. Found the guards for a 90's (I think it was a bearmach or britpart part I found a while back) but not 110's.

The part I did find was: Britpat DA 5625

" Reduce damage to your 90! Made from high-grade polished aluminum, this transmission guard protects your 90's
gear box and cross members from snagging and reduces damage to your vehicle. Bolts on and is easy to fit and
importantly it is also easy to remove when your vehicle needs servicing. Fits pre-Td5 or can be fitted to Td5 with
centre exhaust removed and pipe fitted."

Seemed a pretty sensible bit of kit to me, hence the interest. There is a pic of the item in their pdf catalogue but I can seem to copy and paste it here.
