Dose any one know any thing other than the normal rot places, that might cause a problem for mot?
Iv done plenty of 300 tdi discos but no very little of the v8's!?!?

And what is a " 50th anniversary model" ?

and how much do people pay these days?

Help im panicking it seems a big rick with no mot

If you're that concerned, get the owner to have it mot'd, then  pay what he's asking if you're happy with that..... if he wants to sell it he'll do it.......
gone from 200tdi.... to 300tdi... still with loads done to it, in fact, even more than the last truck...LOL!!!

heard that the v8 can suffer with linner probs . check the coolant looks o.k give it a run and check theres not too much pressure in the header tank. apart from that in my thinking they cant be as good in water . but ive had v8's in the past not landys (rover vittesse / tr8) and i fancy another v8 .   ;)

The V8 is fine, this one will be the 3.9 or 4.0 and there are loads of them around if there's any real problem with the engine.
Make sure it has the certificate for the LPG kit as you insurance may want to see it!!
Body condition is the main thing to look at, rear floor, inner wings, around the alpine lights in the roof.
The 50th Anniversary was a special to celibrate Land Rover's 50th birthday and they produced a limited number of vehicles. IIRC they were all in metalic blue and there's a plate on it with the limited production number stamped into it.
Normally the only one's that come up for sale are the Defenders and they still reach a high price.

The only annoying thing about the original roof bars is that the rearmost one is a swine to remove - you end up trying to press a sharp-edged button against a very stiff spring with the end of a finger, which hurts!
