PAS Pipes
« on: November 15, 2008, 20:18:34 »
I  have a 90 with a 200tdi (defender one) fitted in to it. It was a 2.5N/A.
The high pressure pipe's from the 2.5N/A did not fit the 200pump so I had one made by joining a 200tdi disco (pump end) to the 2.5N/A end.
The join blew apart last week (it lasted 3 years) so I took it off and went to a hydraulic pipe company to see if they could re-crimp it. They told me that the Law has changed and they cant re-crimp old pipes.

Does anyone know how many different part numbers/versions of the pipe Landrover made for a standard 200tdi defender because I went up to Craddocks with the ends of both parts of the Pipe and asked for a standard 200 defender pipe, it had a different end so would not fit the pump. I don't trust Craddocks one bit after the rubbish they have told me in the past.

If I am correct a standard 200tdi part should fit because the steering box is the same on both the N/A and 200tdi. My engine is a standard Defender one?
If any one has the part numbers and drawings it would help because I don't want to keep ordering parts that don't fit.

Matt

Take yor old bits to your local agricultural engineers...... or pipe makers...... they will make it fit one way or another..... i had to do that with my old 200 disco..... i expected a big bill...... the cost was a mere 12 quid or so.....
gone from 200tdi.... to 300tdi... still with loads done to it, in fact, even more than the last truck...LOL!!!
