F.A.O. Red Rose LRC Members

It is with great sadness that I have to announce that Brian Kerfoot, long time Red Rose stalwart & our club chairman, sadly passed away at the weekend.
The funeral will be on Thursday 27th November & I will post details of exact time & place as soon as I know.
One of Brians last wishes was to have as many past & present Red Rose LRC members at his funeral, with their Land Rovers for a procession.

Our thoughts go out to his wife Maddy & his sons Simon, Michael & Philip.

Brian will be deeply missed.

Pass on my condolences to the whole family,  it's been a long time since I was a member of rednose, but still ..

He was a dedicated man, and a jolly good driver to boot.

He was a real family man, an attribute he gifted to his sons.

He will be greatly missed by those in LR and comping community.

Brian`s funeral will be on Thursday 27th November at 10:30 am at St. Johns Parish Church, Whittle-le- Woods, and then at Pleasington Crematorium, Blackburn.

Further Details:
Any one wishing to attend the funeral is more than welcome to join the Land Rover procession from Brian's business premises.
The procession will leave Leyland Leisure Sales, Preston Rd. Clayton-le-Woods PR6 7HZ (map HERE) at 10:00am & then head to the church.
After the church service the procession will then go to the crematorium.
It would be appreciated if all those involved with the procession could line up along the road from Leyland Leisure heading back towards Preston.
Family flowers only, but donations (made payable to Mrs M Kerfoot) can be made to St Catherine's Hospice & Derian House c/o the funeral director.

I didnt get chance to attend but managed to drive past the church as people were leaving, it looked a good turnout and his series1 towing the trailor with his coffin on was very moving.  :(

Yes, Brian would have been proud.
There was a procession of over 100 Land Rovers from Brian's workshop to the church & then from the church to the crematorium.
We managed to bring the A6 to a standstill for quite some time.  :D
The church holds 400 seated & there was standing room only.
Many thanks to all those that attended & to all those that sent their regards.
