Have you had your motor back yet.

Smashed mine up tuesday (n/s front bumper, wing and indicator will need replacing).  Got a call from approved repairer today, cant pick up car till 19 march
and their based twenty miles away from me, you'd think the insurers would have somewhere within the M25 to deal with us townees.
Cheers.

Rang the garage today.  :)
The other party's insurance company have been and taken my disco for some quotes. (They did this to make sure the work needs doing  :? )
They have had my Disco 2 weeks now and its just sitting at the garage waiting for them to give the go ahead for the work, they have hired me a car @ £216 to her insurance company.

Is it normal it can take so long for a spray and new bumper?

The hire car is costing me £4.50 a day insurance.

Can't your main insurance on the disco be temp transferred to cover the other car while yours in in repair?

Or at least put on hold so you dont have to pay for a vehicle you can't drive

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

My insurance covers me to drive (fully comp) any vehicle, lent or hired to me whilst me vehicle is off the road - whether it's being repaired or serviced !

Although some hire companies do insist that you take their insurance - must be a way of making yet more money !!!!!!

I droped that option as it saved me a fair amount of money. The only other vehicle's I drive have farm insurance which covers me.

Spoke to my insurance. They are taking the other party's insurance company to court if they don't give the go ahead to start the repairs Monday.

There was a witness who gave all ther details too that stated I was parked. I don't understand how it gets this far. To be fair my insurance company have been great. Would recomend Adrian Flux. Would not recomend coop.
