Right I've changed my favourite link in my toolbar so it will take me to the main site first so each night I can see what's new  :D

Then I just click on the forum link to here, easy  :D

Also does the main photo change automatically :?:

And should'nt Tixover be in the events section, and will we have a photo gallery page for past Mud events  :?:

Sorry for all the questions

WOW its a bit different and I was just getting the hang of the old site.

Any chance of a Idiots Guide to the new set-up.

I'll admit to being an idiot when it comes to forums and Portals :?

I'm glad I upgraded my internet acccess now.

Well done all.
Cheers.

OK.. to answer a few questions....

The mud-club spat at the top of the forums page will take you to the portal site.  If you want to get back to the forums home page, you can still click on the text link at the top of this topic.

The main photo changes automatically and is taken from a random selection.  More photos will be added over time.

Because the events section is new, there is currently only one event listed. (Toger's)

We will be mailing the people who are advertising events on the forums to encourage them to use the new system.  The new system does have a few additional features on the way too.

The members section is likely to be the next to be developed.  This will give some of the extra functionality as described.  It's all going to take a little bit of time though, as we all have day jobs ;-)

As far as using the portal goes...  from www.mud-club.com just use the menu on the left to get to the parts of the mud-club you want.  The idea of the portal is to provide a nice way to bring together the ever-expanding features of mud-club.   Over time, there will be a lot more there.  Most importantly it needs to be developed with useful features, so if you have any ideas please let us know.

Andy,

I cant help but think that that changing picture in the middle of the page really does need a very shiny blue disco in it ?!  or blue defender (not so shiny)

If you (or anyone else for that matter) has pictures of their vehicles which you would like included in the random gallery image, please send them over.

Mail them directly to me (preferably in jpg format) at : mud-club@muddyweb.co.uk

Send up to 3 or 4 of your vehicle in it's favourite poses :-)

More answers.....

We do intend to include support for video files in the gallery system.

Andy.. I have removed your duplicate entry.  The next phase of the events section will include the ability for you to log back in and change your interest level, cancel your attendance, etc.  It will also allow organisers to edit and manage their events.

We are working on new (and different) items for the club shop, I'll add tax disc holders to the list.

the front screen with the mud-club address and
logo across it... :?:

Much as I'd like to take full credit for the new portal.. it has to be said that the graphic design was produced by Datalas... and jolly nice it looks too.
