Discovery 300tdi -What is it worth/Anyone interested?
« on: December 20, 2008, 19:39:48 »
Just been offered a 300tdi Disco. Its on  'P' plate, its metallic light green and has alloys on, and is standard.

It also has 6 months MOT.

I only had a chance to have a quick look round it but it seems remarkably solid, The boot floor is pretty well intact, the inner wings are fairly intact as are the rear bits of the sills/seatbelt mounts.

Started it up and it started on the button with little or no smoke, and ran well.

It needs a front diff (or possibly a half shaft) as it will only drive in difflock (which I can get out of a spare axle in my garden). Its wants a really good clean but aside from that it seems quite sound.

Its currently of no interest to me, as I have a car that i am using day to day at the moment and would simply be a weekend job to tidy up and sell on- What do people think its worth and is anyone interested?

Chris

with a year's rent on it it should clear a grand, if you can find a buyer.

This is the thing, I thought it ought to be worth that sort of figure, but whether I could find a buyer I am not sure given the used vehicle market currently. It seems a half reasonable vehicle that could be a bargain for someone- Unfortunately I am not in the position I can have ANOTHER vehicle sat on my (parents) drive....

This is it, I bought a RRC for my sister, it owes me £1,000 witht he bits I had to fix but soon after I got it I was offered a mint 300TDi auto for her.

Now I have a nice '93 RRC 3.9SE with all the toys on it, nice respray, brooklands body kit etc etc and it's worth what I can break it up for :(
