O.S. maps query

I got a couple of O.S. Explorer maps for christmas. Theres some tracks shown that have green dots on them, the key on the map says 'other routes with public access - not normally shown in urban areas'. Can these routes be driven on?

Maybe...., but you will have to check with the local R0fW Officer or other fountains of knowledge, first.....
