How-to scratch removal?
« on: December 28, 2008, 15:30:14 »
Could I tempt somebody who knows what they're doing with bodywork to post a how-to on scratch removal?

I don't want to attack paintwork with wet-and-dry until I know what I'm doing!

Cheers.

A lot will depend on how deep it is and what type of paint finish it is?

It's not actually.  It's a Jaguar!  I'm talking about those lacquer scratches which are a bit sharp just to polish out with a mop.

I got quiet a hefty scratch in the lacquer of my truck off a tree branch :roll:I used some G3 cutting compond on the scratch & then applied 2 go's of T-Cut colour magic over the whole panel & the scratch was gone :dance:well you can just make it out if you look very closely & know where it is :-$
