Hi folks this question might of been asked can you fit rrc manual seats into a disco as a straight swap?. As Iv been given a pair and have access to loads of parts from the same truck including engin(its a dtraight 6 disel) so if I need the seat boxes I can get them .
The next question is what tools do I need to remove disco 1 200 tdi seats (this is the truck in question) as stated above they are not electric seats

To remove the seats you just need to unbolt them from the base - there are four torx bolts, one in each corner - the seat needs to be moved to its extremities to get to the bolts at the front and back of each runner.
The RRC seats are not a direct fit - the runners are wider apart than the disco runners. You can get round this by getting a plate fabricated to bolt to the bottom of the RR seat and then drill holes to line up with the disco base - you will need to bolt the plate to the base so the seat sits further back than the disco seat did. This will however mean you will be sitting a couple of inches or so higher up than before - ok if you're not 6' + otherwise you only get about 2" of view ahead before the top of the roof cuts off your view.
The alternative is to chop the frame out of the RR body - this is spot welded in to the RR floor pan though and will need to be welded into the disco in place of the existing seat frame - have a look at John Wilby's post at the top of this section on fitting later disco seats as the principle is the same.

I never noticed any height difference with the manual seats, however I have now fitted RR electric seats and I have had to lower the disco seat bases by about an inch.

Yes the electric ones are taller, evident because the manual ones sat on a 1 inch spacer all round. I put my electrics on the spacers in Blue so I sit high up, if it had a sunroof though I'd never get in
